Fashion Friday
Was it a good week?
I've been busy with work, so I consider that"good" enough!
I hope everyone has a fun Halloween weekend, whether that's going to a costume party,
taking a child trick-or-treating, or just staying in to hand out candy and watch scary movies.
See you all back here Monday!

Ghosts and Goblins are so 2003
I'm one of those people who enjoys a Halloween costume that requires more creativity than effort, so here are some fun examples of easy, yet humorous, costumes:
The September Issue
A Topographic Map
The Second Amendment {The Right to Bear Arms!}
The Mac Spinning Wheel of Death
Boxed Wine {Franzia Fanatic, if you will}
Freudian Slip
Funny, right? Every at work really gets a kick out of the Mac Spinning Wheel of Death, naturally :) So what are you going as?

Digital Goodness
This week we're giving "Goodness" a true backbone and showcasing some amazing people!
The Floating Doctors are a small crew of 15-20 that will be sailing to remote coastal villages in the developing world to spread medical knowledge and fix some problems. The video gives you a little insight into the history of the group and what their plans are for the future.
Doesn't that sound fantastic?! There are a couple other videos from CNN and youTube, plenty of information, and lots of {future} pictures on their website if you're interested in learning more or keeping up with their progress. Also, they haven't set sail yet and are planning to do so on November 1st. Doesn't it just warm the cockles of your heart to hear about a person helping another person out of the goodness of that very same heart?? Get's me every time.

You Can Stand Under My Umbrella {ella..}
Today is the day for an umbrella in Louisville. It was not raining when I went into work {though I knew the risk} but I had to walk back to my car 3 hours later with raindrops splatting on my head. I have a lovely {shimmery} grey umbrella from United Colors of Benetton, but I'm really liking some of the options from Umbrellas.net:
Pretty advertisement for an umbrella company, no?
I've never seen a "pagoda" umbrella, but I love it!
If I ever need a new one, this will surely be what I purchase.
Clear umbrellas are awesome because I like watching the rain roll down the sides.
This is a pretty one that lets you watch the rain and stand out in a crowd!
Who doesn't love the reminder of flowers on a gloomy, rainy day?
If this were in beige and red it'd be perfect!

Do you love your umbrella? I once had one that was made out of a Monet canvas with reds, yellows, and oranges. It was my favorite, but I left it in a theater and someone snatched it up by the time I went back to get it! Sad day, but now I have my sparkly grey one which makes me very happy and satisfies my love for all things neutral. :)

Manic Monday
If it has to Monday, we can at least have a little fun...
Mondays mean Gossip Girl. Even though this season is a bit weak, I'm sticking it out!
What are you doing this week? I don't work until Wednesday, so today is dedicated to cleaning my apartment because it's gotten quite out of hand! Have a lovely week!
And three links to inspire you:
*This site is dedicated to the worst Etsy products out there
*With the magazine industry under siege, these are 6 great online fashion mags
*Some beautiful, patterned wallpaper!

Fashion Friday
Erin Wasson for the November J. Crew catalog. Wasson shed her usual grunge garb for a clean-cut, layered look, but still rocked her bare face that's become so iconic. I really like the direction J. Crew went this season with darker colors and ruffles complimenting a casual fit and booties. You can tell that the styling was tailored towards Erin's preferences, but I'm totally fine with that!
Have a great weekend!

Did You Know?
I just stumbled across a video on this blog and it's quite shocking!
I couldn't wait until tomorrow to use it as Digital Goodness, so here you have it:
Starts a pretty interesting discussion, no?
Personally, it makes me feel very irrelevant, regardless of how knowledgeable I am about technology.
Kind of a scary thought...
If you click on the video and go to it's YouTube page, you can read the discussion {comments} that results from the video, most of which are rather enlightening.

Light Bright
I'm a self-proclaimed light fanatic. If I'm indoors, the brighter the room, the better!
Though this setup is a bit extreme, it did appeal to my bright side.. :)

Kimberly Ovitz's Spring 2010 collection exudes the warmth that I'm missing during
these cold October days. The photography is beautiful and the clothes marry contemporary cutouts with comfy fabrics that would leave you feeling glamorous everyday.
Loving her clothes? Check out her fall collection! She doesn't shy away from white and
delivers impeccably clean lines.
I'll take one in every style!
