It's Lonely in the Modern World
She’d been begging her parents to swap out the gravel for a real lawn, with chairs and everything.
She hadn’t counted on their literalism.

He’d hoped to procure one of the elusive “silver” pugs; this mutt stuck out like a sore thumb.
That’s what he got for shopping with a non-AKC breeder.

Not on the grass, Sweetie. Never. On. The. Grass. See how much fun Daddy is having?

Happy Weekend!
Weekends are for fun, so I hope you all find a little excitement of your own! I don't have any big plans made yet, but I'll find some way to enjoy the weekend.
I'll leave you with this little fashion tidbit before I go: If you like street fashion, and don't already follow Garance Doré, you really must add her to your daily internet stroll. She brings out the glow in those she photographs and keeps the posts fun and light-hearted. Her newest find, Lydia, is no exception -- beautiful!

The Great Ocean Walk
Doesn't this make you want to know more?
"Ten feral koalas.Nine(ty) + kilometers.Eight blisters.Seven falls.Six near-enough to injury or death experiences.Five days, five nights.Four national cultures.Three men.Two-man tent.One mis-step after another."
Mark graduated Centre College a couple years ahead of me and has been in Australia on a Rotary Scholarship studying sociology at a local university. He's as fantastic of a person as he is a writer, and I wish I had gotten to know him better. Find out the rest of the story here!
